Vehicle: '88 Jeep Cherokee
Engine: 4.0l Inline Six
Tranny: 4 Speed Auto
Oil Filter: Napa Gold 1626 (Wix)
Air Filter: Fram
Oil Used: None
Makeup Oil: None
60%City/40%Freeway Mileage.
Period was from 1/05-5/05 in Minnesota weather.
Rot 5w40= Shell Rotella T 5w40 Synthetic
Valv AC 10w30 = Valvoline All Climate 10w30
I ordered new Ford 19lb injectors from a great outfit in California to replace the crappy 18.6934646541 lb/hour units that were OEM. This is a pretty standard replacement for this vintage of Jeeps. I got those waaay back in March and never had a chance to deal with it until early in the month of May.
New injectors and plugs are in. Runs great!
I think this UOA shows the results of the fuel being in the oil earlier, but with the fix in place, no trace of the fuel that caused the numbers. I think the Rotella T Syn did a great job considering the abuse it was under.
I've switched to Citgo Supergard Synthetic 10w30. I grew tired of going to Wal-Mart to procure the Rotella T Synthic 5w40, as that literally was the ONLY thing I ever bought there. Citgo seems to put out some quality lubricants, and price on this was around the same as the Rotella T Synthetic was.

Well, as I reported in my previous thread on this vehicle, I identified an injector leaking allowing fuel to drain into the oil after shutdown.code:
