I had 3 "hydo-junk" transmissions in my 91 Voyager. At 120K, and for the 3rd time, I had to pay for the rebuilt one, and the local shop said to use Amsoil's fluid. 240K now on the van, and my brother uses it as a work truck, installing carpet. Nary a tranny problem again. I'm sold on the Amsoil Universal ATF, and change it in all my vehicles every two years or so.

I had the same problem. warm up it would be fine. fluid was black when I bought it. the seals got hard in my mitsu transmission from the tranny running hot. factory defect if you ask me. put redline syn fluid in it. shifting got better and better. it's still notchy from 1-2nd gear when upshifting and in reverse, but it's alot better than the jerky shifts I was getting in 1st-4th gears.
