For comparison purposes here are my numbers on a Nissan Sentra tranny. These trannies are very hard on oil. They shear down fluid big time. Even Mobil 1 doesn't hold up. I now do a drain (4 quarts about every 10 to 15 K miles or so). I think its good preventative maintenance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Miles..25,000....37,000.....47,858 Cu- 28......19.......33 Fe- 29......14.......15 Cr- 0.......0........0 Al- 11.......5........5 Pb- 3.......1...........2 Moly- 1.......0.......1 Phos- 623.....372......420 Zinc- 29.....18.......26 Mg- 1.......1.......1 Ca- 192.....248......326 Antifreeze 0......0.......0 Water 0.... .2..........0 Silicon 9......5.......6 Vis 5.32... 5.88......5.27 Analysis performed by Schaeffer

If you would like to see real life shearing, check out the oil that comes out at 5000 miles from my 69 Nissan Patrol with a HINO diesel, the tranny is ancient 3 speed and makes Mobil-1 thin like water and dark. The tranny had to be fixed three times due to this.
