scratch removal from plastic panels

I have a new smart car, the small two seat car you might have seen or heard about. It has plastic panels on all side. They are not painted but solid colour. Some punk took a key to the dirver's side panel. Is there any way or removing such scratches. What products should I use? Thanks.

Are you talking about the black or silver panels, or the ones that are interchangeable?

There is nothing that I know of to fix that well. Plastic cladding is molded and a repair would be just as noticeable.

Can your typical XXL person actually get in and out of one of those cars? They look like fun.

if the color is truly molded in (part of the plastic), the scratches can be polished out.

often progressively finer grades of steel wool are used for this, start with 0, move to 00, then 000 and finally 0000. It would be wise to consult a friendly body shop first tho.

we saw lots of those cars in Germany, they have lots of interior room in the appropriate places, basically for the driver and one passenger...but not much anywhere else for sure.

I think German cars have the largest dashboards of anyone, and they have to! Instead of a label called "FAN" it must be spelled out as something like "JohnJacobJingleheimerschmitt"...

There's a plastic polish made by Meguiar's called "Plast-X" that might be worth a try. Also, many years ago when I lived in an apartment for three-plus years and it was time to move I used rottenstone and (mineral?) oil to polish out the scratches in the bathroom Formica(R). It worked quite well!

PlastX is great - but primarily for cleaning up plastic and minor imperfections, not a lot of scratches. Primarily used for clear plastic that has yellowed.

i tried back to black on my dash, it helped but not 100 percent. i would go into a kragens or something if i was u. and say, can i used a dab of this stuff to see if it works. i dont think they care
