Well I got the best birthday present this year, went to visit my folks in New Hampshire and decided to check the Autozone there for GC. THOUGHT I had found a whole shelf of it (like 20 qts.), but it turned out to be only the first 5 quarts were GC 0w30, the rest were "made in the USA from domestic and foreign components." Immediately ripped the top of one of them, in order to see if this Holy Grail of oils does really smell like Gummibaren. To me, it doesn't, but it does smell sweet and looks like antifreeze. Offered my dad, a diesel mechanic of 25+ years who has done his share of tasting pools of liquid underneath trucks, a swig, but he declined as he's retired...
