My 13 equinox has plasic front and rear sway bar end links. Think it would be worth anything to change them to metal endlinks? I changed out my cruze endlinks from plastic to metal and i didnt really notice a differance but i guess theres less roll when swerving. Just wondering if its worth the 40$ it would cost to get the endlinks? Nothing is wrong with the oem. There just plastic. Part of me says do it metal is better than plastic. Then part of me says dont waste the money if it wont help anything. Equinox also has 110k.

I've wondered the same thing. Why do they use a more a plastic end link that costs more to replace. I was missing one on my 13 cop Tahoe, and replaced it with a Moog metal\poly replacement for $13. I know this truck has a huge front sway bar, but it seems too stiff, as it really jiggles the chassis on small bumps.

Even though you have 100k, it's only a few years old. Your end links are probably fine. Plus, plastic doesn't rust

How many miles on the Cruze?

I'd probably replace them when replacing the shocks/struts or otherwise needed to do something in that area where the end links are.

Well idk if its true but i heard on another car forum that the plastic endlinks flex for a smoother ride. And the metal ones will give you better handling with a little more harsh ride. In theory it makes sense.

From an engineering and cost perspective, the plastic is probably lighter and you don't need to buy them, so stick with them. From a BITOG perspective, you could buy some metal ones, weigh both sets, put them on the vehicle and see if you like them more. You can swap back and forth between sets or try one of each.

The plastic was included as an upgrade on some OE GMPP sway bar kits. VW has been using plastic for decades on some models without issue. If they are okay leave them alone, there is nothing to be gained IMO going to metal ones that rust in no time.
The reason some feel stiffer is the bushing material is poly and others are a type of engineered rubber.

Just changing end links is a waste of time imo, if you want less body roll upgrade the sway bar. Bigger sway bars may also require upgraded end links but, only because OEM might break with the increased load.
