i was perusing their tech sheets, and saw that pure synth #256 SAE30 has an HT/HS of 5.0. also, the 40°C and 100°C viscosities make it seem more like most 5W30s. is that HT/HS for real? if so, i think i might have found a new oil to try in my stroked LT4 vette. or do "straight weights" normally have such stellar HT/HS performances? -michael

interesting thread. still doesn't answer my question, though. can a 30 weight oil really have an HT/HS of 5.0? if so, why are other brands using 50 weight oils to achieve that? thanks. -michael
