Note: SS = SoyShield FP = Fuel Power LC = Lube Control. 14 ozs were added to the crankcase at 1oz per thousand.

Modifications: EGR adjustment, CCV oil separator, Cat fuel filter added 10000 miles into the period.

Holt Cat: Has no comment.

Lead is elevated however no other wear metals are.

Possible reasons?

I've run the engine harder than I ever have in the past. Running a WOT helps me put the work day behind me and I've wanted to put my work behind me frequently of lately.

Maybe while working on a tractor I transfered some of my lead based antiseize via my hands to the oil fill cap, dipstick, oil filter, drain plug or CCV filter media?

Note: Gap in milage between analysis #3 and #4 is an AutoRx session.

Comments or observations?

Kinda freaky that all wear metals except lead are reduced.Does the Mann filter have the same bypass/relief rating as the OEM filter?12K on this sample is the longest yet, yes?

The OEM VW filter is a MANN filter.

ME TOO Johnny.

I agree with Neil that the lead we see here is NOT being generated by the engine from wear but is from contamination of some sort.

LC and FP aren/t to shabby at helping contain soot which is the real issue in these little hummers.
