I was in my early 20's when my Dad got one around 2001, But he wouldn't let me use it at autocross even...Such a good car. Miss my 91 every day. Should never have sold it.
Still would have been hammering it around the track too.
Hard to believe its been, what 35 years since they first came out? I wish I was still 35.Is anyone else feeling as old as me right now?
I had the same feeling seeing a "new-style" Dodge Ram in the neighbourhood (new-style being the semi look that debuted around 1990)....with Illinois Antique Vehicle license plates on it.
Is anyone else feeling as old as me right now?
They hyped the heck out of the 1990 model year and they were available (in limited amounts) through much of 1989.The Mazda dealers had a Miata there (which must have been the show in 1990). I was really impressed.
I remember seeing one when I was 17yrs old in Spokane Washington....with Illinois Antique Vehicle license plates on it.

The auto show where I saw the Miata was likely in '89. I think that was the last one. They had a live version of the radio program The Automotive Hotline, which was cancelled in 1990.They hyped the heck out of the 1990 model year and they were available (in limited amounts) through much of 1989.
They only came in white or red.
