So i am posting 2nd thread for all that requested pics and for some advice on next steps. Seems to be only factory test run..
-Has a lot gummy oil in crankcase(also has a crankcase drainplug hehe). Should i fill with diesel or some cleaner to get rid of 30 year old oil and then relube with 2T oil (bearings, wrist pin, piston ect..)?
-The slider on the electrical part is that voltage adjustment against load?
Front PTO is getting 75w-90 diff oil. I saved the old/new oil perhaps you are curious, i can send off for analysis, so we can see some Soviet master oil blending heheheheeee.
In Soviet Russia oil rust you 😂

I’d guess that any preservative oil will wash out with the first run. I’d not worry too much about it.

However, a brief look at that piston and ring pack lead me to believe this engine needs lots of oil in the mix. They don’t appear to be chrome faced rings. I would strongly suggest 25 to 1, with a robust oil.

if it has bushings, then 16 to 1.

I’m just wanting to get rid of the preservative oil because its extremely gummy and I worry that perhaps it will block fresh oil from going where needed, even gumming up the rings..

you mean bushings at the crank with rod? I saw it has bearings for the crank itself. It will get Repsol 2T full synth.
