Don't know if it's still true but the Russians (Soviets) used to have 90% of their bio/chem warfare stuff along the Chinese border, not the border along Europe.

we stepped on the BEARS toes by invading IRAQ . If I remember correctly , RUSSIA had interests in the oil and had money ties from selling military goods . Didn't help our long term ties .
soon as this administration is replaced by one that has the " JOE THE PLUMBER " and " I CAN SEE RUSSIA FROM HERE " mentality and oil becomes top priority at that time you may see the " SANDS " fall into the hands of UNCLE SAM through military means . Desperation makes people ( nations ) do crazy sh*t . They could use the excuse that CANADA has better healthcare , thus the need to invade . :- )

True, but how many times did we fight England or France in the last 100 years?
Except France, we shared/occupied most of the free world with our military. No other nation on earth has done this over such a globe encompassing manner. The free world lives and breaths under OUR defensive umbrella. A few choice allies didn't get their teeth pulled. All of those "protectorates" ..and the aligned industrial nations, are subordinate to our economics.
