"Rumors"(F-Mac) Remaster SQ?

Man, I took a listen to my old Fleetwood Mac "Rumors" CD, and it sounds horrible...absolutely no "punch" or clarity...sounds so "dead" somehow
it's not only the actual SQ, but the sound level, too...it's SO low...for a moment I thought something has happened to the receiver/CD player/speakers/sub, but a quick test with other CDs that I'm familiar with showed all is OK...

So, this is the original initial press of this CD that I bought in 1992 in Germany, which is "rumored" to be the worst. Since then, there have been a 2nd pressing (non-remaster, but best SQ, some say, but how the heck do you find one of those?? by buying a non-remater copy NOW perhaps?) and then in 2004, a remastered version...
I was wondering if any of you guys have one of the remastered versions and if they sound better compared to the original...i know this is not always the case (e.g.: DSOTM original Harvest cd is better, from what I heard, than the mid-90's remastered CD), but in this case I hope it is, 'cause I love this music...but wanted to check here before buying the remastered version from amazon.

No such info at all anywhere...(i suspect AAD, though)
It's "manufactured in Germany by Record Services GmbH", (under WB license of course) though...
i wonder if this has to with a bad run in Germany...
i guess I'm gonna get the remastered from amazon.com and see how it sounds...

As has been the case since their initial release all CDs are perfect, a fact which is easily shown by the Nyquist theorem. Any perceived problems are due to the playback system or the listener's hearing ability.

[Actually, some of my LPs sound fine while the CDs are kind of lame; people confuse theory with execution].

Perfect fidelity does in no way guarantee pleasing sound.
