You mean LA roads are still that bad? They were horrible when I lived there in the 80`s
Horrible then, horrible now. Oh, sure, some are properly paved; I can almost hear my Buick sighing with relief when we cruise on a good one. But even a good stretch may not extend for the entire run of the street. Six blocks, "Great, they just paved it, nice and black and smooth!" On block seven, CRACK and THUD!
When I lived in Denver, the streets were almost all so good I had no hesitation about exploring new areas of town. Here, before I go someplace I haven't been in a while, I ask somebody who lives there, "How's [Street Name]? Is it paved?" (Of course most of the denizens here have no idea what a good road is. "Sure," they say, and when I get there, CRACK and THUD!)
