This always happens. Shortly after i get an alignment, I hit a large pot hole or poorly designed curb. It's usually my wife that does it, but last night it was me. I had to make a quick turn into a Wawa and there was a large piece of the curb missing. It was dark and I had no way to see it or time to even think about it. I was driving the Mazda and it really bottomed out. I better check the splash gauard tonight and check the Fumoto LOL.

That sucks! I don't have that problem luckily. I drive a Jeep so when I hit potholes it probably fixes my alignment.
There is a local shopping mall that has terrible curbs. They are all crumbling and falling apart, and there are often chunks of them laying in the middle of the entrance to the mall. I usually see them and avoid them, but I can imagine they would cause decent damage to a lower car if someone doesn't see them. Not sure why they haven't fixed that yet.

Now all of you know why it's so exhausting to drive where I live. Almost every street is just like that.
For and extra $20 you probably could have gotten a 3-yr alignment service. Any time, all the time, for 3-yrs. Thats what i did. I bet you could go back and have them check it for free. I think you will be fine
Won't happen again till shortly after a new alignment. It always seems to work out that way for some reason.
Or maybe humans are more sensitive after the car gets an alignment.

that mall wouldn't happen to be a SIMON property would it?
Ours is, and the curbs/parking lot are AWFUL.. they only fix potholes when they are big enough to swallow a child, and the only real work i've seen them do to the pavement in my 30+yrs living here, have been when the DOT redesigned the traffic flow, and the reconstruction was part of the larger roadworks.

I doubt your alignment is hurt at all. The only time I've ever needed an alignment was due to bushings getting worn. I've hit lots of potholes, bumped a few curbs, and done other stupid stuff. I've even bent a rim (it was so stupid I'm not admitting how, but it was a way bigger hit than a pothole)... and THAT didn't knock the car out of alignment. Granted, it was a 60s car built like a tank, but I just don't think 'normal' road hazards should be bending metal parts in a car's suspension or unibody. Not even a little bit.
My struts are about 1- 1/14 in dia. and there are no brake reaction rods to the front tiebar. Somtimes it seems as if going around a corner hard or jamming the brakes on changes the alignment - until the next whack. This Honda Fit has garbage front end - another reason to NOT buy a entry level platform. Agree that my old 65 buick and my 83 S10 PU held its alignment very well - good ole body-on-frame, not junk macstruts which are a very compromised design - "only" for ease of engine cradle marry-up on the assembly line

not that I'm doubting Louisiana Roads but up north with the winter freezes does a real number even on new roads.. expansion joints..
I remember every trip out of ohio as soon as I made it back to ohio the roads would wake me up every time.

My dad's Blazer was like that towards it's end. The bushings in the suspension were literally rotted away. One day, it would pull to the right pretty bad, then you'd hit a big pothole and it would either straighten out or start pulling to the left.
Yea, I've about had it with [censored] roads as well. I cringe when hitting large potholes; it feels like it's doing damage to a vehicle.

I'm not exactly sure who owns it. The kicker is that they are always building more stores there. It is ALWAYS under construction. There will be new buildings almost every year, yet the parking lots are still the same. They continue to get worse with the increasing flow of traffic.
