I got a whole case of these oil filters for a really good price. They are for Ford 4.6. They are a white can with Royal in blue letters, the box is light blue with Royal on it. Distributed by E&Y and thats all, no country of orgin, no maker, thats it. Just installation instructions and change evry 5000km They are Part #V4651. I thought with that part number they would be rebadged Purolators. I thought surely I would reconize the end as either a Fram, Champ or Purolator. There are only so many makers of oil filters. They seem to be well built, I havent cut one apart YET, but they are not ecores and look pretty stout inside. Ill have to try to post a picture of one, has anyone ever heard of them?

I know they shipped the filters to my door cheap enough. $24.99 shipped for 12 filters. After Researching on the internet, they seem to be Chinese. Very similar if not exactly like the Viper filters. They look well built, better than a Walmart filter. I am not a big fan of that plastic cage. Only thing I dont like about them is it has a dome mounted relief valve. They are a heavy filter. Ill use them,I dont go extended oil changes. Unless the car rattles at start up. They gotta be better than a Fram and probably the same filter that all the Quick lubes put on. Your right on about the location of the distriburtor, I checked the shipping label, Brooklyn, New York is where it came from.

You can't beat that price. It's better than a ProSelect for $2.27+6% sales tax.
I figure the rolling cost of a filter at below $0.50 ..if that much. All the hands that a $2 filter passes through, they have to be selling them by the ton for pricing them sensibly. Producer, broker, distributor ..and to the end user for $2 each? Back tracking it has to come to next to nothing in costs. The handling makes the money.
