Hey all my first post on this forum.

My accord has a bit of trouble starting in the morning, like it takes longer then usual to turn over (it cranks more then usual). At first i thought it was a weak battery but if i start her in mid day, she starts just fine. could it be the oil??

*im currently using a fram extra guard filter and pennzoil 5w30 roush racing series (the cheaper one hehehe)

I live in NB where it gets to about -15 to -20 every morning lately and I find that plugging in my block heater makes my car sound like it's July out. I assume an actual oil pan heater would help even more than a block heater, which mainly only heats the coolant (although my entire engine become warm to touch after pluggin in for a few hours, glad it's the landlord's electric bill and not mine though, haha)

Just switched to Mobil 1 full synthetic 5W30 and it seems to help things out even more. Using a NAPA Gold wix filter on my 2.2 sunfire.

I would suspect oil and/or things like the fuel filter. First start of the day would require a bit of priming. Might be an instrumentation problem too, but 0W30/0W40 Esso XD-3 oil is cheap -- tracking down all that other stuff isn't.
