Rotella T6 MV 5w-30 for all my vehicles?

Once I run out of my oil supply, thinking of just getting Rotella T6 Multi Vehicle (MV) that is 5w-30 weight. I already run this oil in some of my vehicles/engines (2011 Hyundai 2.4, 2018 F150 2.7 EB, 38kw Generac w/ 2.4 Mitsubishi). These all call for 5w-30 or require it due to mileage.

My other vehicles are why I question this across the board.
2006 Honda S2000, calls for 10w-30
2013 F350 diesel, calls for 5w-40

What is everyone’s thoughts on this?

Rotella T6 5w30 is a great choice. It is one of my favorite oils

A better choice would be a 5w40 like Mobil1 Delvac that too has SN specs for older gas engines. Your 5w30 engines will run a lot happier on 5w40. The ones that actually spec 5w40 won't be as happy with a slightly thinner oil, great though Rotella is.

I have ran that in my diesel when I could not find Rotella. Seemed to run fine.

I am concerned about using a -40 in the Hyundai through as it originally called for a -20 and due to mileage likes -30 now.

Yeah about the Hyundais if you'll check what they spec in Asia it was 5w40 all the way till they moved to 20 weight oils in 90+ F weather tropical countries. There should be a weight / temperature chart in your manual that'll tell you anything goes, even 10w40 or in some older cars, 20w50, in hotter weather. So unless you're in Minnesota or somewhere you should be good to go with a 40 weight.

Yup this doesn't apply if your car has stuff like a gasoline particulate filter or LSPI concerns. Those HDEO spec API SN at the most so older gas engines will work just fine though.

Are you in a cold environment like below freezing for long periods? That oil doesn't meet Ford F1 specification so I'd not recommend using this oil in that truck. However, why not choose a 5w-40 Rotella T6 CK-4/SN for both of those vehicles instead.? One that meets Ford's spec.

Missed that it is a Ford. They need plain CK4 not dual rated ones. Here's a list of HDEOs approved for Ford.

FYI: There are many CK-4/SN dual rated oils that meet Fords F1 spec. & the dual rating doesn't matter. The important part is just looking to see if it has the F1 mentioned on the bottle. That Ford site is a good link to provide. Thanks

Just buy the same brand of the grades you need and mix the leftovers however you need without ever worrying about it.

Don’t overthink it.

A lot of the oils I've seen just don't care to state other approvals than CK4, and they are available on the Ford site

All CJ4 works fine for wss-m2c-171f1, only some CK4s (those with phos > 1000 ppm if I remember right). However most if not all straight / non dual rated CK4s have no issues with this requirement, so ..

Thanks for all the information and insight. Definitely going to look into 5-40 T6 for a single oil.
