I have been running full synthetic in my Jeep 4.0 since I got it at 93000 miles ... never ran the same oil twice. I try to stick to a 5w or 0w if possible for cold starts. Last oil change I used T6 5w40 in it. Seems to be doing well (except for my oil filter housing leaking). The 4.0 seems to like it and it doesn't make any funny noises. The problem is ... it's no longer at any local wal-marts. I try to avoid supporting Wal-Mart if possible, but it's the cheapest 5w-40 by far. Is anyone else missing this off of the shelf at the local Wal-Mart?

Nope. My local WM still has it. Sometimes other retailers have it on sale, too, at which point it may actually be cheaper than Walmart.

Then you have no issue...go buy it elsewhere.

I've checked at the 3 in Syracuse and one in the Utica area ... no beans. The parts stores around here (Advance) seem to have it for >$30 a gallon. It was nice and cheap. Guess that's no more frown Could be a local thing. I'm not able to find 5 quart jugs of 0-20 Mobil1 at Walmart either.

I bought some last year at O'Reilly Auto Parts when they were running a sale to last me for quite some time. Nothing wrong with supporting the local auto parts store if you have a problem with Wal-[censored]. Bo

Our local WM still has has T6...But they have a very hard time keeping it in stock... $21 a gallon Local AZ and OR sells T6 for $34 a gallon for the exact same oil... Ah No Thanks... I will either switch to M1 TDT or Amsoil.

How much is it? It's about $21.50/gal here.
