Yes all I’m serious! Go to your local advance auto parts and scan a jug of Rotella T6 0w-40.
Some stores are marked as clearance others are not, but it will still scan correctly at the register. $5.95 per jug.

Better yet, use a SpeedPerks coupon with it too for nearly free oil!

(...btw I grabbed 5 jugs for about <$12 using speedperks. I have oil overload and don’t know when I’ll use it, but gosh I couldn’t pass up.)

Yeah, not sure I have ever seen it around here either, but may go take a look.
Wonder how it would work in a wet sump motorcycle?
I could also use it in my Santa Fe.

I believe that T6 multi-vehicle is OK in a vehicle with a catalytic converter. I know T6 is a huge favorite for motorcyles. Some even use it in boat engines (I do not).

Depends on the license, spec or approval. What does your vehicle require and what does the oil hold?

Decided to stop by 2 of my local stores that had stock online, didn't ask anyone to check the price, but on the shelf it was 29.99 at one, and the other had a sale tag valid August-September last year for 22.99, the bottles at that store were old style bottles, and were filled in 2015, that store used to be a Carquest store and seems to mostly cater to shops.

The T6 5w-40 is the go-to for many motorcyclists, but have not heard of any using T6 0w-40.
Both my local stores have it in stock per the website, so I may run by and see if it is the clearance price or not.

T6 0w-40 meets API CJ-4/SN, Volvo VDS-3, and Mack EO-N, and Caterpillar ECF-3, ECF-2 and ECF-1A specifications.

If my store has it, I may buy a few jugs.
My Santa Fe allows 5w-40, so I see no issue using 0w-40 (and have been running 10w-40 for the past 15,000 miles), and may even use it in the Kia Soul (although it is spec'ed for 5w-20, 5w-30 and 10w-30 per owners manual).
Not sure if I will use it in the Goldwing or not.

Just grabbed 5 from the local AAP. Interestingly, they had 0w40, 5w40, and 15w40 flavors of T6 on the shelf. Also grabbed some car cleaning supplies on clearance and the Techron is on sale...12oz/$4.99 and 20oz/$7.99

I would consider using it in my 2013 chevy malibu but it might be too thick at operating temp. Car calls for 5w20. Gm dexos of course but if it doesn't have that, I dont care because I know some good oils don't have that designation because they have to pay.

Went to a local AAP. Shelf price listed at 11.95 for the 0w40, register rang up at 29.95 I walked.... although I had a weird feeling that it may of come up at 5.95, and the guy simply was not going to honor it. It took him more than a second to tell me the price.

I went to a more frequented store on the main commercial corridor in town, they had it marked 29.95 on the shelf I asked the guy to ring it up to check and it rang out for $5.95, so I picked up the 3 jugs they had, they were all filled spring of last year. They are labeled for CJ-4/SN.

I was surprised earlier that you didn't ask in the other two stores. Sometimes prices ring up differently at the register.

I should've at the first store, that other store I don't really like going in, it seems more geared towards commercial accounts, plus the oil they had was almost 6 years old.

I looked on Shell website, there’s a promo for $5 off per jug, but not sure if AAP is participating....

Only rebates that Shell does on Rotella that I know of are only at participating farm supply stores.
