Either would be acceptable, but as you're in Canada, I'd probably go with the 5w-40* for better cold cranking. (*I assume you mean 5w-40, Not aware of a 5w-30 Rotella oil- their 10w-30 would be fine though)

Rotella is fine for gas engines as long as the oil weight is proper. I would not use 15W40 in a vehicle calling for 0W20 for example.

Don't you mean 5w-40? I've never seen a 5w-30 Rotella. But yes, you can run Rotella in petrol engines just fine. It's a great oil.

with a 40 wt. you probably will lose .01% fuel efficiency but your engine will stay fresh as it ages. I'd have no problem running 15/40 in the warmer months, even better.

I just dumped my 5/40 Delvac 1, in service since 12/15 @ 15,450 mi. no make-up oil. Sample on it's way to Blackstone.

I would comfortably use Rotella products in all but your '15 Oddysey.

If you must use it in the Oddysey also, the T5 SynBlend in 10W-30 would be the most appropriate.

By the way, the '15 Odyssey I only use Honda or Mobil 1 0w20
