Rolling Coal!!

Dang, one of the suggested vids after watching was some trains with snow blades on the front. That's some pretty impressive stuff. Dont see too much of that in Indiana.

Yep. Alco's are famous for rolling coal from way before the term even existed. Too much turbo lag, and no air-fuel control on the governor.

Last summer a pickup truck did that to a small car on the road in the lane next to my wife and I. The driver was laughing and honking his horn. The small car followed the pickup into the parking lot just ahead of us and a 100 pound, 5' tall Japanese woman dressed in a gi with a red and white belt got out and challenged the 6', 250 pound driver. He shoved her back against her car really hard and then she went to work. She kicked him in the center of he chest followed by a second kick to the family jewels and then a direct blow to a knee followed by stomping on the arch of his foot. From there it was down hill for the big guy. He landed really hard on his face. Several people gathered around and started cheering and clapping. Evidently many people called 911. Every time the guy started to get up on his hands and knees, she nailed him. His face was a bloody mess and and his knee was bent sideways. The police arrived and took over. The big guy was taken away in the fire department ambulance and his truck got towed away as well. The cops had a really difficult time keeping a straight face while the big guy tried to explain how he was attacked for no reason regardless of the statements of everyone else. Karma sometimes works wonders.

Is "rolling coal" in traffic becoming a problem? Before this I could never have imagined doing something like this.

I was told that the red and white belt was a big deal and that she must have been some kind of karate master. She certainly looked the part while taking apart this big guy. He did not stand a chance in the confrontation he started.

^^^Maybe she was a Yakuza enforcer??

I've never seen anyone doing this in public, but apparently it's a problem in some areas. Score one for California Smog Check, I guess.

Red and white generally denotes "Grandmaster" which is, yes, a big deal.

This is common where I live.

I would love to round up everyone who bypasses all their smog equipment, then force them to inhale poisonous gasses to prove a point.

Old trains and other diesel machines have leeway though.

That being said, the coal rollers are popular here too. I cant imagine investing all of my income into a vehicle rather than putting it towards a trade, higher education etc. Their money, not mine.

There is the odd truck here, but I think our ministry of transportation officers make such activities quite expensive and a pain in the butt if you ever get caught. Like your truck gets towed away and taken off the road.
I suppose one could take a picture of the truck and plate and send it to the proper authority for your state, if you've got a local guy that's a problem.

We've had many here regale us with stories of removing emissions hardware and how great that it.

Frankly, if everyone did it it might not be so cool to rebel, but where would we be.

Personal responsibility is a forgotten concept...
