First off apologies for the poor picture, but the lighting was very bad at the time I took it. My daughter got a rock chip on her new CRV. She took it to Safelite and the guy there said he wouldn’t think he should be able to do it as it was small and it was a high-pressure area and might spread if he tried to fix it. This doesn’t make any sense to me on the second picture I outline two areas where it’s starting to spread this happened immediately after the impact I would think this needs to be filled.

Ok quick question it is very cold here about 32 degrees is that to cold to do this repair should I bring car in garage and let it warm up

I have had very good results on four different chipped windshields using this $10 kit from Amazon. If you attempt it to repair it yourself, gently heat the interior of the windshield with a hair dryer to "draw" the resin deep into the crack after applying the resin with the injection tool. Let the car warm up in the garage before attempting the repair.
