Road rage karma

This was on in-town or in-city road. This was NOT limited access / divided highway. There was a left turn coming in half mile and that is why the person was in the left lane. It was raining and roads were slippery.

All of the above can be verified easily. If that is correct, then it is clearly the bozo in the back who is wrong. You don't need any subjective opinion of the person who was in the front.

Obviously, driving with one hand and recording this with other hand should be avoided but then again making 911 call while driving is technically illegal too.

But if we all started behaving logically and rationally, BITOG would stop being fun and lively place and it would be just dull and nobody would hang around here.
 
What I see in the vid,chick is in the left lane,passed two vehicles that were in the right lane,so she`s apparently driving faster. Left lane is not always for passing only per law,but of course it`s a common courtesy to "cruise" in the right lane. White trash in truck is insulted by her driving,so he decides to prove a point by riding her bumper,then passing here while slowing down and speeding up trying to intimidate her,then gives her the screw you,and tries to cut her off by swerving in front of her. Just because she`s not driving the speed of sound doesn`t give that loser the right to cause harm to her or her vehicle. White trash truck driver got what he deserved hands down.

The video itself ran for 3+ minutes, and we don't know how much more time has passed before she started recording. Presumably long enough so that she noticed him and decided to record. How far in advance do you jump into the left lane before your upcoming left turn?

To me, she was a left lane hogger and is partly to blame for the whole situation.
 
What I saw in this video was a women being passive aggressive and attempting to bait a reaction from any speeding motorist. The reaction she got from the man in the large pickup was the reaction she wanted; otherwise she would not have put out the bait in the first place. Fine enough if she wanted to stay in the left lane, she didn't get the finger until she started racing him and it was blatantly obvious she was. I admire people who travel the posted speed limit, not over it or under it and good on her for doing so. It just wasn't her place to play traffic patrol and this man of poor judgement could have hurt himself and others.

I completely understand the pickup hate. The vast majority of aggressive drivers are in 4x4 pickups and one would have to be blind not to notice it. Unfortunately for me being a pickup owner I get lumped in with that prejudice. I just wish the trendsters would have stuck with their Hondas.

I agree. Once the right lane was open for cruising why didn't she move over. Keep right except to pass is common sense. I see retards doing 5 over and they think their entitled to the left lane.
It's too bad he didn't run her off the road. It would hav served her right. Idiot.

Common sense != the law. Some parts of the country are very good about slower traffic moving right (and even post signs to that effect), others aren't. I don't know how it works in the frozen north, but down here unless the law says so, NO ONE is entitled to the left lane. Hick truck driver got his just desserts.

One piece of advice. When taking pictures or video with a phone, hold the phone like a hamburger, not a hotdog. Small pet peeve of mine.

How did you infer she sped up instead of he braking and then giving her the finger? As far as I can see from the video, both the situation will end up looking identical on the video unless you are able to see outside reference in it. If you can show me that she raced up, I will concede your point.

I have never seen any non limited access highway marked as "keep right unless passing". Only freeways get marked like that and not the roads which have left turns. If that is the case in NorthEast, I am positive that Florida does NOT have those markings on that particular road.

There was plenty of footage in that video where the right lane appeared empty.
 
the problem with the video is we don't see the whole picture.

They were both driving improperly to some degree.

I wonder what the guy did that caused him to spin out?
 
The video doesn't show how long she was in the left or what she did getting onto the road. I just had some idiot woman swerve back and forth in front of me because I blew after she couldn't make a left turn on a green light. I'm going with both are idiots.

On the NE extension of the PA Turnpike, there are signs that say trucks/buses have to be in the left lane.

But the left lane speed has the same speed limit as the right.

How long she was in the left lane doesn't matter. If you watch the video , you see a left turn lane when the idiot loses control. So it was not a limited access road.

So I'm going with the idiot truck driver who didn't realize he wasn't driving a sports car when he decided to cut her off.
 
Yes, seems to be pretty cut and dry to me. Since this was not limited access road and there are left turns to be made from this road, "keep to the right lane" just simply does not apply.
 
In kansas there is a real law to keep right except to pass but only on interstates and there are stipulations, guidelines, etc.

I just hope people that have seen the video don't try to replicate or induce similar incidents.

Maybe the biggest problem with the video is that it went viral, it should have just been delivered to the local police.
