Rislone's fuel treaments seriously don't get enough ♥️ love.

They probably always had nitrogen-based P.E.A. (polyther-amine) cleaners in their ingredients, but only chose to advertise it now with their updated labels  - same part number, same MSDS, unknown concentration.

REBATE: 1 or 2 x $5 each & more:

Wish there were a more generic PEA product. We all get to pay the snake-oil price, even though it’s not that.

Top-Tier is suddenly less available in my area. If Valero gives it up I’ll be stuck paying top dollar. Also a problem on the road.

New and improved !
I sure like shiny & new products !

Manufacturers are not required to disclose the actual concentrations of certain chemicals, but they do give a loose percentage range in their MSDS.

In theory we may be able to judge effectiveness by their statements:

Rislone Hy-per Fuel Complete Fuel System Cleaner - they recommend every 5000 miles
Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner - they recommend every 3000 miles
Gumout Regane Complete Fuel System Cleaner - they recommend every 3000 miles
Red Line Complete SI-1 Fuel System Cleaner - they recommend every 3000 miles

or I could be complete wrong :sneaky:

It's difficult to judge "effectiveness" when no actual standardized tests and results are published.

Another way is to look at the company website and see what other various products are offered and gauge the overall competency of the claims for those products. If they promulgate nonsense in other categories it's a pretty good chance they are doing so for the product you're looking at. Watch for heavy use of unsubstantiated "up to" claims, useless testimonials and frequent invoking of buzzwords like "hyper" or "nano technology" which are often key red flags.

I just emailed them through their website contact form, asking them point blank if this product with its updated labeling contain PolyEtherAmines, and what exactly does 'P.E.A.' stand for exactly...

We'll see if we get a response from them... ⌚

They didn't answer my question directly:

P.E.A. could stand for Patented Engine Additives for all I know.

P.E.A. is in there, but then again Polyetheramine is not the end all be all...
