RIP Anthoine Hubert

F2 driver Anthoine Hubert passed away today. Anthoine Hubert passed Sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and fans. There's video of the crash, but I didn't feel it was appropriate to post it. Rest in peace.

Eau Rouge is about the only place tougher than Indy to keep your foot planted as you turn the wheel. Especially when there are cars right next to you. If you don't make it, it's going to hurt.

I saw the crash. That was terrible. Racing has become safer, but it's still risky. RIP.

My guess is that "corner" is going to get sanitized real quick.

Same - it was on after the F1 qualifying so I just left the TV on and it happened as my 9yo son and I were watching. It quickly became clear it was serious as they pretty quickly cancelled the race and didn't replay the incident or show the aftermath and recovery operation. Very sad.
