Perfect for bungee jumping or for a final jump. This must be the forum AutoMEchanic mentioned to me maybe a year ago. BITOG's sister site? Same staff?

I just visited there this past winter. Really cool. There's a trail that goes quite a ways along the edge of the cliff. No shortage of final jump options, though that's not a nice thought.

The memorable things for me though was that the bathrooms were all closed for the winter due to freezing temps and there was a serious shortage of shrubbery taller than knee high. There was also an interesting pair of gals trying to sell painted rocks in front of their hippy bus.

Yeah, it's a sister site.

Same staff?
Most of the staff here are members there, as we sometimes use the RV forum to test new releases of Xenforo or add-ons. I'm the only staff member here that goes to the RV forum every day.

Ripcord failure. Then backup chute ripcord failure.

Diapers!

I don't want my painted rocks to smell of patchouli.

I have been out there to that bridge on a ski trip to Taos. It was January so cold and windy and I wasnt't wearing my ski gear so it wasn't that pleasant being out there. I didn't stay long. The river looked like it was a ways down there though.

My favorite memory of the Rio Grande is riding up the river to and through Creede, Colorado on my bicycle. Bicycle Tour of Colorado, 2006. Creede was the first overnight after originating at Pagosa Springs. Camped at the high school baseball field in Creede. There was frost on the outside of my tent in the morning. Heading out of Creede on CO-149 towards Lake City, you follow the river for a while until it turns towards it's ultimate source in the high mountains between Creede and Silverton.

Side note: Creede to Gunnison via Lake City is a tough day on a bicycle. 102 miles and two named passes above 10,000 and one pass that isn't name but I'm sure is also above 10,000. The highest of these is 11,530 foot Slumgullion Summit, talk about gasping for air. Granny gear all the way up that one, and then a harrowing descent into Lake City. (by the way, I would definitely not recommend this pass for an RV owner) I was on the road leaving Creede before 7AM and didn't arrive in Gunnison until after 6PM. Numerous rest stops involved.
