Just had front new quick struts put on,monroes .waiting for the rear ones Amazon. Old ones are kyb struts plus, put on 7-8 years ago. Have a out 38,000 miles on them.past month could feel street, front car was sagging...springs still good?
Wanna some point if possible put the springs on new AC Delco struts,AC Delco mounts..or maybe the used springs are iffy iffyi also had new control arm bushings installed, these are old ones on since 1998.
It's a 1998 Buick LeSabre.
The struts show advanced rust.cat is parked outside exposed weather n elements

If they were noticeably sagging, the springs probably aren't good anymore. And anyway, it's easier to replace quick struts and have all-new parts and hardware than to mess with a spring compressor :sneaky:

Are the OE GM parts even still available for your 98 Buick?

You should consider getting annual rustproofing done.

Sag means bad springs. The struts control spring oscillation (bounce). You decide. Rust itself is not a reason to replace them.At 38k miles of use, your struts/springs didn't give you good service. They should have lasted much longer. Don't forget an alignment when done.

Yes ac Delco does make struts for 98 Buick, but just the strut .ide have to buy locking nut, mount, seperate.

The mechanism pointing Rd out to me,much more room between the tire n spring area of old kyb strut. Springs bad?
