Saw that an Autozone in my area had tons and tons of SL Havoline in 5W30. I liked my UOA from a couple of changes ago with SL Chevron...since I can't get Chevron in my area I figure SL Havoline is the next best thing...am I right in thinking that? I have SM in there now and the engine isn't behaving like it did on the Chevron(noise and smooth wise)
Guy at Auto Zone had no problem exchanging it but was curious on why I wanted to do it...when I started to explain about the different add pack for wear etc 2 of them just looked at me with a glazed look over their eyes..
Guess they really were not too interested lol...
In any event just so I have my facts somewhat straight...does SL has more zddp in it and SM more moly as an anti wear additive? Any other major differences?
Am I weird for doing this?
