Sorry, you owner's manual does NOT say your CR-V requires synthetic oil. From your manual:
"You may also use synthetic motor oil if it is labeled with the API Certifi cation Seal
and is of the specifi ed viscosity grade."
That does not mean you are required to use synthetics, but can.

• Genuine Honda Motor Oil
• Premium-grade 0W-20 detergent oil with an API Certification Seal on the
container
and wife is a keeper for sure lol

Actually the Honda 0W-20 is not a straight synthetic. It is a blend.

Quaker State 5w20 & 5W30 are among my favorite conventional oil and I use them both with confidence in the Mazds & Nissan in my signature. As the matter of fact, the 2015 Altima in my sig specs 0W20 in the owners manual and my Nissan dealer uses 5W30 for all of the OCI's in my free services(OCI) agreement.
