Despite Redline's claim of high tech base stock and high concentration of moly based FM's, I just don't see a performance advantage over low tech but proven Delo in UOA's.

Opinions?

For everyday drivers Delo is my choice. Redline is a good synthetic oil for that special application...

Delo is not a low tech oil all things considered. It is a group II+ oil with a great additive package at a very reasonable price .

If you knew that Redline had been really screwing up your engine, with that possibility of bearing incompatibility, why not switch to Delo?

Delo makes claims it is for the "common engine" but in reality it only works in very specific cases and can sometimes harm the very areas it claims to protect.

Redline does cost more, despite some possible savings in the long run. Redline also does clean internals.

Both can cause some serious drips and make some big claims. I really prefer an alternate choice.

No Offense Pablo, but please provide proof of this statement.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, that doesn't jive with the fact that Delo has consistantly shown good oil analysis results in the past, and Redline seems to have some cases of well, not good results. Pablo, you are incorrect about this point I'll say; Redline sure is way more expensive in the long run.

There is nothing wrong with Delo the motor oil. It's NOACK numbers don't excite me and it does leave a bit of staining ultra thin varnish, but I don't think this is harmful in any way.

As for DELO the analogy, well let me just say they say "shift the tax burden to the rich" that always seems to mean around $100K. Not RICH, just trying hard to suceed. Redline has been good to me in this department, but I must admit until, cigar boy came along ALL Delo was bad....
