Not claiming to be an expert, but the question was "bang for buck", and it was requested by an Aussie, and our oil market is way different to the US (home to most of those oils).

Delvac 1 5 litres $55-$65
Mobil 1 5 litres $70-$80
Castrol 5 litres $70-$80

Amsoil 5 litre $90 ($18/quart)
Redline 3.784 litre $123 (plus postage)
Neo last time I saw it more expensive than Redline

So bang for buck, and in the geographical context of the person requesting the opinion, I'll still stick with my list.

As to availabilty, the first two on my list are a 5 minute walk, the third a 10 minute walk, the 4th , 5th and 6th an hour and three quarter drive (or mail order).

I'd still love to be running Redline, or Amsoil (in that order), but can't justify $250 for a sump full of oil.
