Went ahead and took the plunge. Car is a 2000 Nissan Maxima, 3.0, 222 h.p. V-6, 5 sp. manual with 49,000 miles. Great car.

Car has had Mobil 1 5w-30 from 10,000 to 40,000 and then two fills of GC.

So far, the Redline 'feels' smoother and quieter than the GC, and the GC seemed smoother and quieter than the M1. Placebo effect? Maybe. It doesn't seem to rev any quicker, but I shift by ear, so I am probably revving a little higher anyway. All in all, I would take smoother operation for a few ppm more wear metals. I mean, what difference does it make to me if the engine blows at 450,000 miles or 400,000 when the body is a rusted hulk before it hits 250,000?

What does everyone else use in their Nissan V-6s and how do you like it?

And I'm sure RL is ready to plunge into those bearings.

Look forward to the UOA. I don't have a Nissan V6 but I've heard nothing but good things about the Maxima V6 engine.

Mobil 1 10W30 spring & summer changes and Mobil 1 5W30 for the fall change (regardless of miles). Redline MT90 in the transaxel. '97SE 5-speed with the ultra-smooth VQ30.

At 80k, I suggest you put some new O2 sensors in. I waited till I got a CEL at 105k. Makes a huge difference.
