This oil looks wicked....I contacted Dave at Redline about it with regards to it "diesel" usage, and he said its got the same additive pack as the 15W40. It looks very worthwhile. It's group V isn't it?

Here are the redline specs for reference. This image came from someone's post on BITOG and I apologize I don't remember who it was to give them credit:

I bought 5 quarts from Turner Motor sports last year. It still has the moly in it from my latest UOA, it is labeled as API SM/SL/SH/CJ-4/CF. The 5w-40 without the moly was a case I bought from Racer Parts Wholesale in Indy since Turner didn't have the 7 quarts I needed in stock. The two cases I just picked up also have the API SM/SL/SH/CJ-4/CF rating on the label. THey were out of stock when I ordered but it came in within a week. Latest bottle from a case have a code like 58283 7554-001642 Old bottle from Turner has 58064 37303-002682 I believe the 001642 part of the number is the bottle number. The case all have almost consecutive numbers here.

Darn! I am glad you posted this. My no-moly 5W40 bottle says 58182 7633-001702. this was purchased about oct 08. I bought some 5w40 in May 09 and bottle number is 57100 7757 003485. I called Dave at redline and he said the 57100 is a date code so it is almost a certainty that I am now using the old "with-moly" formula. The only reason I say "darn" is because I am testing the effect of my pcv bypass on oil and I wanted to have exactly the same formulation to show any differences. Hmmm, I may dump this oil and switch to the new formulation to preserve the integrity of my test but the smarter thing would be to run this out to 5k and then start the test on the next batch. Shoot! I didn't want to wait that long. oh well

Here are the numbers, seeing the photo link is broken. I still have a bottle in the trunk, so I'll grab the date off of it. Taylor I don't know why you've revived a 4.5 year old thread. All RL street oils have been reformulated with a lower POE content apparently. The SM oils are no longer available unless you can score some old stock.
