Hey Guys,

New Here. I've followed and looked for information when needed but now I can't find any information and need help!

I am looking for a very good oil to use for my setup without causing issues. I have a 2015 Chevy SS w/ a LSX 376 Crate engine I got from Chevy. I put a few things into it mod wise and a LSA Supercharger.

The Recommended oil per Gm is 5W30 Mobil 1 (or Other Meeting GM4718M Standard) and I can't find the GM4718M standard anywhere. The motor will be running about 17-19 lbs of boost and E85 fuel. Looking for between 3-5K oil changes and the most protection I can get out of the oil for Street/Strip use.

I used to have a 2013 STI that used Mobil 1 5W30 and I use to use Mobil 1 OW40 with great success from Blackstone Labs. I was thinking of using that BUT I am unsure.

Thanks

4718M has been superseded by dexos1, which in turn has been superseded by dexos1 gen2.

However, GM recently back-spec'd all Corvettes to dexos2 (NOT the same as dexos1 gen2 or d1g2)

Use PP Euro L 5w30 or Valvoline MST 5w40, as they are probably the best-priced and most widely-available dexos2 oils out there

However, the M1 0w40 will probably work fine in your LSA as well

Sorry for the n00b question, but what is PP Euro L?

I keep leaning towards M1 OW40 Euro for some reason but didn't want to cause any issues.

Swapped LSX for more power down the road. Already had it from my old car it was supposed to go into.
