Recommendations?

Hi. I recently purchased a 96 Prelude S with 88,000 miles. It sat for 2 months before I bought it. I'm about to do the oil change, and I bought some Valvoline Max Life 5w30. Does anybody use this, or high mileage oil? Are there really benefits, or should I just go with some Castrol GTX (I'm not going to switch to synthetic). What about a synthetic blend? Thanks.

I use maxlife 5w30 in my 1998 Sonoma with 2.2L 4 cylinder, get great gas mileage and just got a great report from blackstone, I would like to post it on this web site but it is sent as a .pdf(adobe acrobat) file and I can't edit out my personal information before posting or know where to post it. It also seems to have slowed a small leak I have.
