I am currently in the process of importing a 91 Honda Beat from Japan and wanted to prepare the first service (fluids, spark plugs, tires,...).
The Honda Beat has the 660cc E07A engine found in the famous Honda Acty trucks but capable of outputting 64HP at very high RPMs (redline at 8500rpm) thanks to its individual throttle body setup from the factory.
Original recommended oil weight is 10w30 but this viscosity isn't available over here in France so I'd like to switch over to a 5w30 or 5w40 weight oil. I already use Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 (API SN+ ACEA A3/B4) in the Miatas and Lotus Elise so it would be my preference to use the same in the Honda.
Does anybody here avec some oil related experience with Key Cars from japan with such small engines or could point me in the right direction ?
