Recommend an oil: Pup UOA head to head competition

15k miles on conventional SuperTech 5w30. Back in 2013 though. Definitely would like to see your results on the current SuperTech Synthetic. Magnatec is great too, but there are no doubts that it will perform great. Now when it comes to SuperTech Synthetic - it would be interesting to see how it stacks up against the PUP.

I have devided that also. You can expect a name brand synthetic like Castrol to perform well. Nothing to be gained there. But seeing how well a less expensive "generic" synthetic stacks up against the big boys should be beneficial. So SuperTech it is. I hope to do an oil change this weekend. The target will be 8000 mile oci. It may take a while to get thereand I will disregard the OLM until the target mileage has been achieved.

Have we seen a UOA on the magnatec 5w20?? Something to check into

Changed the oil. SuperTech 5w/20 full synthetic. 31045 miles, 985 engine hours, Wix gold filter.
