We raised some wild turkeys one year. The amount of personality they each had was unbelievable. They behaved almost like dogs and would sit on the back porch or follow you around the yard. Very neat experience to say the least.
N.E. , yes in the country and have about 4 acres . Not very far to nearby city . These were took through double thermopane window and sliding glass door . If I opened door(s) would of scared them off . Camera is Cannon that was a little over $100 .
The bird is a Flycatcher . Drives the cat crazy when he spots them through sliding door . That's how I got the photo since he ( cat ) tipped me off with his chatter . We'll say tweet , tweet and his head turns towards the sliding door .
I have many older photos of a fox and her kits ( 5 or 6 ) playing . A young buck with 1 short antler . May post those and a few others . Was raised to respect nature .
Noticed this less than an hour ago . He was trailing a doe . Largest buck we've ever seen on the property . The other photos were from the past few weeks . Pictures of the buck are cloudy because they were taken from inside through the sliding glass door .
Just watched a Northern Harrier ( Marsh Hawk ) fly over the house through sliding glass door . First time to see one . Had to look it up in the bird book and online . Beautiful bird of prey !
