I have a slight leak from the seal with 103K miles on it. I've never messed with these seals, so can they be replaced simply by removing the yoke and not disturbing any preset backlash or bearing preload?

If not, are there any good driveline shops in the metro D.C. area?

There is pinion bearing preload that is set via pinion nut torque. It’s critical that this preload is set correctly when the seal is replaced as well as replacing the pinion nut with a new one.
Not sure if this procedure is covered in a GM repair manual but try and find one.
If it’s just wet from a slight seepage you may be better off leaving it alone.
