Rear diff fluid change?

I just changed my rear diff fluid today and decided to pull the cover off to take a look inside. Now when I put my cover back on it slid alittle bit if i doesnt leak which I dont know yet it is still drying, am I ok what I am worried about is some globs of rtv falling down in the diff. case. Would that cause any harm should I rip it off and do it again? Really dont want to have to do that.

I've had the same thing happen to me, with no ill effects.

Good deal I didnt think it would cause any probs, but I figured I would ask while the rtv is still curing before I dumped my expensive redline 75-140 in there. Oh btw is 3-4 hrs ok for black high temp sealant to cure??
