The iron removers get into nooks and crannies better. They are useful on wheels which can be hard to clean and to get rid of brake dust. For the body, it's usually a one time thing unless you live somewhere close to a rail yard.

The Sonax Iron remover is ok but I liked the GTechniq one better. Plus it's a little cheaper. Works faster and removes more fall out. A great paint cleaner for lighter colored vehicles.
Eagle one pvd wheel cleaner is sub $5 and good iron removal. Adams iron remover works better but is $14.xx+ per 16oz. Chemical and mechanical (clay bar) work wonders
