Wife has a 2005 Caravan, which has developed a small leak....Is it a good idea to use Bars Leak or something similar?? Cannot believe a 3 1/2 year old car would have a leak...

Some of those stop leak products do work well - some too well. It's been a lot of years since I've used any, but the one time I did, it plugged up my heater core.
At the time I did NOT live in Southern Ca. St. Paul winters are cold enough as it is, having a poor heater wasn't much fun.
I agree that is a little early for a leak - even from a Chrysler product!
The radiator on my Ford minivan developed a small leak around the tank after 12 years. I replaced it with one I bought off the internet - just over 135.00 IIRC.
There's a product made by Conklin Called Dike it is the beststop leak out and will not clog your heater core and can be flushed out give it a try you won't be sorry
