53 year old celtic fan here, we all loved John Havlicek who was a all time great player and on my mt Rushmore of Celtics along with Russell, bird and cousy. Really sad day when a legend dies

I grew up a southern boy watching the Celtics on TV during the Bill Russell, K.C./Sam Jones, Tommy Heinsohn, John Havlicek era. I have a vivid memory of Havlicek single handedly winning a playoff game for the Celtics by hitting clutch shot after clutch shot at the end of the game. He was the greatest sixth man to ever play the game.

Most definitely. I grew up reading about players like Havlicek and Cousy and Russell. Chamberlain, West, and a few more. The NBA wasn't very popular back then. Football and baseball ruled the roost on television along with golf and bowling.
