I got a good deal on a gallon of Quicksilver syn but was surprised the stuff is black as coal, color-wise looks like 20,000 mile used 4-stroke oil LOL. But the seal was intact so I'm thinking I got factory fill here.

I used to purchase Shell Nautilus two cycle oil that was dark blue and not translucent at all. I suppose they could have chosen black dye instead of dark blue dye, but I would think the advertising department would advise against using back.
If you pour it into a clear container is it still black? I’ve seen very dark purples and blues that look black until mixed with gas.
