Questionable label on Walmart battery

Those were the good old days. Good luck doing that now. And believe me, I've tried. Walmart, NAPA and Advance batteries that I've bought at junkyards or came in cars I bought used that were bad and still under the warranty time period. No receipt no warranty. Or they can look up the purchase but you would have to know where it was bought and who bought it. Kinda hard to know if you didn't buy it.

I believe you are right about this circumstance. Keep receipts for warranty purchases...

Lol, these are interesting theories. The stickers are supposed to represent when the item was shipped to the retail store. When I worked at AZ, anything in stock more than 18 months was supposes to be considered a used battery. I used to see “early” stickers all the time. In this case, they probably aren’t counting Nov because most of the month has elapsed.

And no, the sticker can’t be used to get a warranty replacement. There must be a proof of purchase.
