Quarker State/Pennzoil Synthetic worth $2/qt?

Hi all,

Found the local store was clearing out QS and Pennzoil synthetic for $2 per quart. So, I bought the remaining two cases. The Pennzoil is in the old bottle, the one without handle. I read here that QS and Pennzoil are not the best or even synthetic in the truest sense. Still, at $2 per I didn't do that bad, no? I planned to change them about every 6,000 miles.

Any comments?

Depending on wheather the QS is old stock it could be a PAO. But I doubt it. Still-good find

A group III base oil for $2 per quart isn't bad at all.

Grab some of it, and run it in your car a while and then do a few UOAs for us too!

A group III should make 6k or even 7.5k under most conditions in most engines.
