Quantum physics in a bouncing oil drop ?

Changed the oil enough to see the occasional, and very welcome ball riding the oil surface, sometimes instantaneously, sometimes for seconds, and twice, have ran around the funnel a couple of times before scooting down the hole.

Always assumed it was just surface tension....had no idea that the reason was so subtle....
