Does Quaker state contain moly, and what are some opinions of Quaker state?

Originally posted by Chris: Yes it contains moly. About 50 ppm. But Pennzoil is the better oil in this family of oils.

quote:Here was the problem: 30 to 40 years ago, most folks who used Quaker State used the straight grades, primarily 30 wt. The only distinguishing feature between Quaker State non-detergent straight grades and high detergent straight grades was the color of the circle printed on the top of the can. That was it. The cans were identical otherwise. The high detergent had a red circle; the non-detergent had a green circle. This led to a lot of non-detergent oil getting used simply because people didn't realize the difference. The result was a lot of sludged up engines.
