Walmart advertising their oil for $43. Strange that Quaker State hasn't started announcing the fact that they have Gen3 approval.

QS has dexos1 gen 2 license.
It is not on the list of licensed dexos 1 gen 3 brands.

But the list is only updated quarterly and right now all the brands that haven't licensed D1G3 are rushing to do so, so at this time the list isn't particularly useful at determining if an oil has just recently gotten approval.

Walmart isn't going to hassle you about all that. Quick lube places will. That's why walmart has its advantages.
Yessir, we just top off and recommend what's low or bad (like tires/batteries/wiper blades). You'll have the occasional guy who is excited to upsell all our services before remembering we don't get commission 😂

We're low-priced to get shoppers into the store.

That's not a bad deal for an oil change, $42.88, I could live with that.
The main problem is the techs being trained. Most Walmarts are pretty below average in terms of competency, so you have to get to know the local techs working at your local Walmart and see if they're any good.

With this approval, Quaker State has clearly demonstrated how its bread is buttered! Chevy owners and QSFS are like hand and glove. ;):)

Just curious why anyone would pay those prices for Jiffy Lube? I've never paid that much, even at a dealership!
