As far as I can tell, Quaker State 5W-40 has been discontinued.

On a side note, we haven't gotten a super clearance from almost anywhere for a long time, like PP at tractor supply a couple years ago, Total Quartz at AAP, maxlife boxes at Walmart, etc. There was m1 truck and suv discounted recently at AAP but my stores never made it below $2X a jug, at least when I made over there. Some lucky people were able to get for closer to $10 a jug. I'm pretty low on oil too. Waiting...

Recently? I do remember some grades going as low as $5 a jug and $1 for singles within the past couple years.

No longer on Quaker State website. There is Pennzoil Platinum 5W-40 but it's usually more money than the QS was.

Might be. They had a few other Euro brands getting axed as well. I think Penz 5w40 Euro was $20 but it might have been SN.

Remembering the WM oil/lube clearances of late Feb 2024, certain things were discounted at certain stores. In the end, it looked like inventory reduction because many of those items were ultimately restocked and not discontinued. With bated breath I've awaited similar this year. Our neighborhood store has had none. I wonder if other stores in the area have had clearance items. This QS is the first I've seen on this forum that looks like a WM spring inventory reduction.
