QS or Super Tech syn oil for a few cent diff in price at W-M

The Price is almost the same for QS 5w 20 and the Wal-Mart brand ....which would you go with? I went with QS since its 31 cents diff in price.

I have been very happy with ST so I have no reason to try other brands based on price. I don't buy oil on price but "bang for the buck".

Are you comparing synthetic to synthetic?? I dont see QS synthetic for same price as ST synthetic.

Quaker State. I'm not putting ST down, but I would choose QS over most on the shelf ,sale of no sale.

online QS syn is 14.67 the Wal Mart is 14.64 so today its 3 cents diff online price....last week QS was 31 cents higher than WM syn.....

QS has a slight edge with the NOACK over ST, but both are good and will get the job done perfectly.

Either would be more than good enough for 5000. QSUD is pretty highly regarded though, some people here like it better than Mobil 1! For 3 or 31 cents, splurge for the good stuff!

For a 5,000 mile run in almost any vehicle, ANY off the shelf syn will work. Use what makes you happy.

For a 5K mile oci, any conventional or syn blend will work. The ST synthetic here is about $3-4 cheaper than the QSUD

Shell tried selling their own branded PCMO for decades. They never could crack the top tiers. It cost them almost $3 billion, but they picked up over 1/3 of the US market share when they bought Pennzoil and Quaker State. I don't think they're going anywhere.
